Refund Policy

Natural Athletics Portugal, responsible for the website wnbfportugal.pt and the WNBF Portugal circuit, sets out on this page the conditions regarding refunds for payments made through our online store.

Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase. By completing payment, you confirm that you have read and accept the conditions described herein.

1. Products and Services Covered

This policy applies to all products and services available at wnbfportugal.pt, namely:

• WNBF Portugal Annual Membership — annual member subscription
• Competition registrations (e.g. Legends League) — entry fee and additional categories (crossovers)

2. General No-Refund Policy

Given that our products and services are digital and sporting in nature, and that competition places are limited and individually reserved, the Annual Membership and competition registrations are non-refundable, regardless of the reason.

This policy is in accordance with Article 17(1)(l) of Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February, which excludes the right of withdrawal for leisure, sport and event services when a specific date of performance is indicated.

By completing payment, the user expressly declares having read and accepted this condition, as indicated at checkout.

3. Force Majeure Exceptions

Natural Athletics Portugal recognises that exceptional and unforeseeable situations may arise, including:

• Serious illness or hospitalisation of the athlete, duly evidenced by medical documentation
• Death of a close family member
• Other duly documented force majeure situations

In such situations, the athlete may submit an individual review request by sending an email to admin@wnbfportugal.pt with the subject “Refund Request — Force Majeure”, including:

• Full name and order number
• Description of the situation
• Supporting documentation (medical certificate, death certificate, or equivalent)

Each request will be assessed individually by the WNBF Portugal team. The final decision rests solely with Natural Athletics Portugal and will be communicated by email within a maximum of 15 working days. The approval of a refund in a specific situation does not create a precedent for future situations.

If approved, the refund may be total or partial, depending on the assessment of the case and costs already incurred.

4. Event Cancellation by the Organisation

In the unlikely event of total cancellation of an event by WNBF Portugal, registered athletes will be notified by email and will have the following options:

• Transfer of registration to the next edition of the same event, at no additional cost
• Full refund of the entry fee for the cancelled event

The Annual Membership is not refundable in the event of event cancellation, as it confers other benefits independent of competition participation.

In the event of postponement (not cancellation) of an event, registrations are automatically transferred to the new date. No refund will be issued in this case.

5. Right of Withdrawal

Under Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February (transposing Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers generally have a 14-day period to exercise the right of withdrawal for online purchases.

However, this right does not apply to the services sold here, on the following legal grounds:

• Annual Membership: this is digital content with immediate access upon payment, and the user expressly consents to waiving the right of withdrawal upon completing the purchase (Art. 17(1)(m) of DL 24/2014)
• Competition registrations: these are leisure/sporting services with a specific date of performance (Art. 17(1)(l) of DL 24/2014)

6. Refund Request Process

To submit a force majeure refund request, follow these steps:

• Send an email to admin@wnbfportugal.pt with the subject “Refund Request — Force Majeure”
• Include your full name, account email and order number
• Describe the situation and attach supporting documentation
• Await a response within a maximum of 15 working days

If approved, the refund will be processed to the same payment method used for the purchase, within 10 working days of approval.
